Introduction.

Residential Houses are structures built for the purpose of human dwelling. It is used as accommodation for human being and its related properties. Residential house can be of various sizes depending on number of dwellers and technology influence.

Residential house rooms.

The following are examples of rooms that may be found in every type of the residential building. These are as follows;

i. Kitchen room.

v. Store rooms.

Store rooms are mainly constructed for the aim of storing old instruments, storing crops, and sometimes motorcycle and bicycles. Should be constructed to avoid harmful gases to enter other rooms of the building. It should be constructed near the rooms like kitchen and should be constructed with shelves for storage

-          Hard surface, to avoid defects.

-          Usually located in north-west or south-west corners

-          Window size 1.5m x 1.5m

-          Standard room size 2.1m x 2.5m

-          Door size 0.9m x 2.0m

vi. Guest room.

Usually is constructed in the front areas of the building especially near the verandah may sometimes be used as office. It should be constructed with separate bath and toilet rooms.

-          Window size 1.5m x 2.1m

-          Door size 0.9m x 2.0m

-          Verandah size 2.0m x 2.5m.
